Automatic repeat dispensing Service
This service takes the burden of having to remember to order you medication as we do it for you, speak to your doctor and deliver it to your door free of charge. With the Covid-19 pandemic why would you want to risk your life and those around you when our staff are trained to do this for you without ever leaving the pharmacy.
Safe waste disposal
We collect unwanted medication from our customers and destroy them in a safe and environmentally friendly way so that these chemicals aren’t mixed in with the general waste.
New medication service
When you are prescribed a medicine to treat a long-term condition for the first time, the pharmacist will support you to use the medicine safety and to best effect. Our pharmacist will talk to you approximately two weeks after you first receive the medicine to see how you are getting on with it and to discuss any problems you may have. A second follow-up will be a month after you first receive the medicine. The service is only available to people using certain medicines. Our pharmacist will give you details.
Health Advice and Self-Care
Our pharmacists and our trained assistants are available for advice on all medicines and minor ailments. We can also give you advice on how to live a healthy life, for example, advice on how to stop smoking, or healthy diets. We can direct you to other sources of advice and assistance if we cannot help you ourselves.
Medicines Review Service
If you are taking several different medicines, we may be able to help and offer you medicines review over the phone. We can discuss any problems you may be having taking your medicines and answer any questions you may have. Please ask the pharmacist for more information about this service.
Prescription collection service from your Surgery
We offer a repeat prescription collection service from various surgeries. Please ask for details.
Medicines Sales
We keep a wide range of over-the-counter medicines and also vitamins and mineral supplements.
Urgent and Emergency Supplies
If you have items prescribed that will help you feel better the sooner you start taking them (such as antibiotics), we do our best to deliver to you as quickly as possible – and normally the same day. We may also be able to help if you need a prescription medicine in a genuine emergency when it is impossible to get to your doctor.
Community Pharmacist Consultation Service (CPCS)
This service connects patients who have a minor illness or need an urgent supply of a medicine with a community pharmacy.
The CPCS takes referrals to community pharmacy from NHS 111 (and NHS 111 online for requests for urgent supply), Integrated Urgent Care Clinical Assessment Services and in some cases, patients referred via the 999 service.
